NEW! G2CCD Cameras with Bigger CCDs and USB 2 Interface
 The new digital electronics module of G2CCD cameras implements USB 2.0 High-speed (480 Mbps) interface. Employing of faster interface and bigger on-board memory allows using of bigger, multi-megapixel chips and speeds up download time. Updated analog electronics promises even lower read noise and better cooling compared to current G2CCD versions.

Updated line of G2CCD cameras include three new models:

Updated models bring some advantages compared to current USB 1.1 line.

  • New line supports bigger chips (up to 3.2 MPx KAF-3200ME)

    CCD chips used in the new line of G2CCD cameras—KAF-0402ME, KAF-1603ME and KAF-3200ME

  • Image download is almost two times faster using USB 2.0 High-speed (480 Mbps) transfer. Although all cameras are backward compatible with USB 1.1 Full-speed transfer (12 Mbps), download time is somewhat longer. Still, new cameras are faster than the current ones even on USB 1.1.

  • Enhanced thermal insulation of CCD chip chamber brings better cooling. Cooling to 35 °C below ambient is regular, up to 38 °C cooling is possible.
