Slow-scan CCD cameras are used not only with large telescopes or microscopes. When large field of view is desired, nothing can beat high-quality SLR or DSLR lens. Lenses with some kind of thread (Tamron T-thread or Praktica M42 thread) become more and more outdated, so Moravian Instruments introduced new adapter for Canon EOS lenses. |
A thread-square on the G2CCD camera body front side allows using of various adapters for telescopes or microscopes. Although astronomers use standard 1.25" or 2" barrels or T-thread adapter mst often, if is sometimes necessary to connect modern SLR/DSLR lens. Moravian Instruments chose the Canon EOS lens bayonet standard for the new adapter. The Canon EOS adapter is available for all G2CCD camera models. |
