NGC4038 “Antennae” interacting galaxies
We present one more totally breathtaking image from Wolfgang Prompter. Imaging this iconic duo of interacting galaxies NGC4038, appropriately nicknamed “Antennae”, in a few spare hours after capturing another object, lead to surprising result.

Wolfgang used the 60 cm (24”) ASA600 RC telescope with f/4.5 focal reducer. The used C3-61000 PRO camera is equipped with External filter wheel and Chroma filters. Telescope sits on the ASA DDM200 mount.

Click the image above to see it in full resolution, level of details is incredible. Seeing was as low as 1" during imaging, so this image surpasses many older images captured with multi-meter mirrors.
