When a particular USB device does not comply to some predefined
device class (for instance USB flash drive or USB keyboard or mouse),
it requires a proper driver to be used in the particular operating
system. Gx series of CCD cameras can be used under both Windows and
Linux operating systems, but while Windows drivers are readily
available for download as well as distributed with every camera, Linux
drivers were available only on request.
